    Pottery Care

  • You should hand wash your pottery and avoid using it in the microwave, oven, or air fryer.

  • Much of my pottery is unglazed on the outside. This means that it is a live surface and lighter pieces may stain if left in contact with certain foods or drinks for long periods. You may find that, like me, you enjoy this natural patination. If not, just be sure to rinse your pottery right away.

    Jewelry care

  • Unless otherwise noted I leave my metal surfaces uncoated. This means that it is a live surface and it will self patina and polish over time wether you wear it or not. It may also react with your skin and give your skin a green tint. If you wish to freeze the patina and keep it from staining your skin you can buy a spray on product called ProtectaClear and follow the manufacturers instructions. If you like the live surface, but want to brighten it up you can give it a pit of a rub with a Scotch-Brite pad and follow up with a buff with some Simichrome.

  • To keep your Jewelry looking it’s best please avoid wearing it in the shower or while swimming.

  • Some of my jewelry is adjustable, but please be gentle and remember than even the most well made metal work will form stress fractures and break if worked too much.

  • Leather jewelry should be cared for like your other fine leather goods. A quality leather conditioner like Chamberlain’s Leather Milk will keep it looking and feeling it’s best. Also please remember that, like all other natural fibers, leather will absorb water so please avoid wearing it in the shower or while swimming.
